These terms apply to synthay.com and the exam practice app at synthay.com/exam/ ("Synthay", "the service"). By using the service you accept them.

Not affiliated with Anthropic
Synthay is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorised by Anthropic. Claude, Anthropic and the Claude Certified credential names are trademarks of Anthropic PBC, used here only to name the exams this service prepares for.
Our questions, flashcards and explanations are unofficial practice material. They are not real exam questions.
No guarantee of results
We write our material against the published exam guides and keep it current as well as we can. We do not guarantee that it is complete, correct or up to date, or that using it will make you pass any exam. Check the official exam guide for what counts.
Using the service
The service is currently free. You can use it without an account. Your progress is kept against a browser cookie, and you can sign in with an email link to keep it across devices.
You are responsible for access to the email address you sign in with: anyone who can read that inbox can sign in as you.
Do not misuse the service. In particular, do not scrape or bulk-download its content, interfere with its operation, or try to access other people's data. We may suspend or delete accounts that do.
Your own Anthropic API key
Features that use your own Anthropic API key send requests directly from your browser to Anthropic. Your use of that key, its costs and its content are between you and Anthropic, under Anthropic's terms and usage policies.
Content
The question bank, flashcards, explanations, software and design of Synthay are ours, or licensed to us. You may use them for your own exam preparation. You may not copy, republish or sell them.
Questions you write yourself in the app remain yours. We store them only to show them back to you.
Availability and changes
We provide the service as it is and as available. We may change, pause or end features, or the service itself. If we plan to shut the service down, we will announce it on the site in advance where we can.
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your data with Delete my data in the app. See the privacy policy for how we handle your data.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a failed exam, exam fees or lost time. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for the free service is nothing. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date below shows the current version. Material changes are announced on the site. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.
Law and disputes
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country.
